There are several Mraz songs i listen to when I'm crying, but this one must be on the top four.

There are days where I feel like my complete world has been turned upside down. I feel like nothing matters, and that is when I hit the rock bottom. Then, when no one else is there for me, he comes to my rescue.
These two songs (the first two) are the ones where i feel like Jason is speaking to me personally.

So, in a way, he is my personal savior. (: And you girls are my angels.
I'm going to try and be happy. Not for anyone else, not for any reason, but just for myself.
I'm so tired of being unhappy. Screw needing a boy to make me happy, that's just false happiness. I'm going to be happy for me. And i encourage all of you to do the same.

I love Florence Welch. Her songs are magic. Her performances are intoxicating. Lately, I have been listening a lot to her songs (on repeat, too!)
For this post, I would like to share the song Cosmic Love. Some would say this is a sad song, but it isn't for me. This is actually my and my boyfriend Jason's theme song. :) It was one of the first songs I told him I liked which he liked back during our get-to-know-and-fall-madly-in-love phase.
This particular performance, to me, is beautiful because of the harps.
...but Jason says he doesn't like it as much as the original. To him, this lacked a certain depth and feeling, whereas with the original, he got goosebumps.

So I decided to do 2 smile tracks, and both are U2, surprise surprise ;-).
The first is "Where the Streets Have No Name" from 1987's 'The Joshua Tree' album. This song is an absolute monster live. As soon as the background starts, the crowd loses its mind. That's why I put up a live version of it from this past year. I looked through about 5 or 6 different videos and every single time I still had goosebumps. This is one of my favorite songs ever.

My second track is "Beautiful Day" from 2000's 'All That You Can't Leave Behind' album. This is just such a happy song to listen to when the weather is finally getting better (like it is now here). Basically it is just a feel good song. And I posted a live version just because I felt like it :-D

Okay so it was really hard for me to pick a song that i love and that makes me smile, so i picked 4 but even that was hard. the first song i picked is Perfectly Lonely by John Mayer, i have NEVER ever been a big John Mayer fan but his new album is really fantastic. I like this song because i feel like in society today there is alot of pressure put on people to find and be in relationships, but this song says that you can be happy alone.

First off, I L O V E the whole idea of the “Smile Tracks”! Music that just makes you feel good, no matter what. Most (if not all…) of that for me, is Jason, but since we’re keeping it non-Mraz related, I’m posting two songs in particular that are part of my fairly large compilation of “Smile Tracks.” Oh, and I also wanted to thank Jam and Lucy for their posts of “Smile Tracks.” You guys literally read my mind with those songs. I really love the surprise effect.. So it's not a secret I am the shuffle kinda girl.
Whenever i hear music -that is not Tristan Prettyman.. dude, don't know what's wrong with me but i just can't listen anything else lately! I love her SO much- on my itouch i like to make lists with a certain mood -cause i wanna get surprised not depressed when i'm going to school- and then shuffle thru.
The point is this morning i was on the bus with my coffee and my happy list ready on my way to school and i got surprised with a song i haven't heard in a really long time. My favorite Mraz song changes pretty often. It’s really whatever fits in with how I’m feeling at the moment; the jingle and lyrics that will get me thru anything or just inspire me to open up my mind and see like him, as he would say. My current favorite is “Common Pleasure,” the version from the “Live and Acoustic 2001” CD particularly. I couldn’t find that exact version on YouTube, although I’m sure all (or most) of you have heard it before. This is young Mraz from his early years at Java Joe’s singing “Common Pleasure.” By the way, I’ve bolded and made pink my favorite lyrics in the song—the one’s that grabbed me by the shoulders and shook some sense into me.
